South Bend residents invited to Thursday's visioning meeting for affordable housing redevelopment
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend, in partnership with the Housing Authority of South Bend, invites residents to Thursday's visioning meeting for redevelopment of the former Rabbi Shulman and Monroe Circle sites.
The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Salvation Army Kroc Center.
Officials say the current plans for the two former public housing sites on Western Avenue between Scott and Taylor Streets are included in the City’s Downtown Plan.
City officials say the initial concept for the sites include new affordable housing and community spaces.
There will be a brief presentation at the meeting, followed by an opportunity to give feedback on ideas for the redevelopment.
You can also provide feedback through an online survey.
The Salvation Army Kroc Center is located at 900 W Western Ave.
