South Bend storm debris pickup

The City of South Bend's Solid Waste Division will provide special trash and yard waste pickups Thursday and Friday in an effort to clean up after Sunday's storm.

Residents who have spoiled food or downed branches to discard are encouraged to place the items curbside for pick up.

To schedule a crew, residents are encouraged to call 311, South Bend's customer service line between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Branches should be tied into bundles with twine and placed at the curb.

Bundles should not exceed 30 inches in diameter.

Each branch should not be larger than 4 feet in length, and 4 inches in diameter.
