SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced they will host a community input meeting. in partnership with Housing Authority of South Bend, for Phase 1 of the Western Avenue Transformation District on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph County Public Library Community Learning Center.

City officials say the initial phase of the project will redevelop the former Rabbi Shulman and Monroe Circle block into a vibrant, mixed-income neighborhood.

The community meeting will include a brief presentation, followed by opportunities to provide feedback on the plan.

City leadership and the developer will be in attendance.

The St. Joseph County Public Library Community Learning Center is located at 305 S. Michigan St. The meeting will be in Classroom B on the second floor.
