SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A new Chief Innovation Officer started in the South Bend community on Monday.
Denise Riedl is now overseeing the department that deals with 3-1-1 and technology.
Riedl expressed her plans for the South Bend community her first day on the job.
"What our team wants to do is bring technology down to earth for the residents of South Bend and really reverse that concept of technology and ask how can we put technology in service to you,” said Denise Riedl.
Riedl is also working on the Bloomberg Mayor Challenge which is an initiative partnering with Rideshare to make it easier for people to get to work.
