South Bend worker honored with a key to the city

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A man who worked for the City of South Bend for nearly 48 years received a key to the city!
Mayor Pete Buttigieg gave Bruce Smith the key on Wednesday morning during a ceremony at the South Bend Water Works.
The city also threw him a retirement party.
Smith started working for the city right out of high school.
