Celebrating “Big“ community with Mentoring Month
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Washington High School held a career fair Nov. 13 which was the first in eight years.
30 colleges attended the fair with approximately 20 technical education courses.
There were six stations to visit with five minutes at each station.
Students interests were at the forefront when planning the fair, according to school officials.
Counselor Irene Patterson said, “There’s things in the community that we listed on Western Avenue that we wanted to make sure that they were here to be presented. It’s good for the students to see that they could walk to these places if they needed to.”
