Southbound Bypass shut down after semi rollover

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -

St. Joseph Co. police are asking drivers to find alternate routes this morning after a semi trailer truck rolled over onto the shoulder early this morning.

The driver possibly fell asleep as he was headed east just north of the S.R. 2 exit. The tractor trailer rolled over, spilling gallons of diesel fuel all over the road. Environmental crews are still working to clean up the fuel spill and are closing the eastbound lane until it's cleaned up.

Drivers can get on the bypass from the S.R. 2 exit, but cannot exit there.
