S.R. 23 lane closures near Mishawaka Avenue beginning May 16

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Lanes will be closed on S.R. 23 over Mishawaka Avenue beginning on or after May 16, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

During the first phase of this bridge deck project, expected to last about two weeks, traffic will use the outside right lanes of the road while crews install median crossovers for future phases.

After the crossovers are completed, the southbound lanes will be converted into two-way traffic while the northbound lanes are under construction for phase two.

Work will then begin on the southbound lanes.

The project is expected to continue through early September.
