SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The main branch of the St. Joseph County Library held its 8th annual Growing Summit on Saturday.
Attendees at the kid-friendly event could pick from over 25 free classes ranging from topics such as butterflies to tree pruning and even landscaping.
"We're not just doing classes on gardening, although we have plenty of those, we're doing classes on making lotions, goat-meal lotions, kids classes on snakes and reptiles, really connecting people to nature in a deeper way and then to celebrate even more and get more broad,” said Sara Stewart, Executive Director and Founder of Unity Gardens.
There was also an all-day seed swap as well as opportunities to buy from local vendors.
The summit continues Sunday afternoon, to learn more about the event click here.
