ROYALTON TOWNSHIP, Mich.----Floods occurred in Royalton Township on Derfla Drive and some other streets due to the St. Joseph River.
The water formed mini pond-like areas right at the doorsteps of people’s homes and all throughout the streets.
People in the area said they either recently moved back into their homes or are still doing reconstruction after the flood they experienced last February.
Although most people in the area told ABC57 that the this flood isn’t nearly as bad as last year, they said it’s frustrating to have to deal with again.
In a release Emergency Management Coordinator Captain Rockey Adams mentioned that his office has been in communication with State officials and Township to help reduce property damage.
