KNOX, Ind. – Starke County is offering delivery of groceries and hot food from local grocery stores and restaurants.
The program is open to all Starke County residents that cannot afford food items due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The food will be offered at no cost to residents, according to Starke County’s website.
County officials say that they delivered 166 hot meals along with 50 boxes of essential groceries since they started the program last week.
Residents can choose for their food to be delivered between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Someone will need to be home when the delivery comes, according to Starke County’s website. Workers will not leave food on the doorstep when no one is home.
To apply for delivery, go to the Starke County website.
