Starke County ranks tenth in state for meth labs

STARK COUNTY. Ind. -- Starke County is in the top 10 for meth labs in the state.

That is according to the Indiana State Police.

The ISP Meth Suppression Unit released the statewide numbers of meth labs dismantled across Indiana through the end of July. Starke County came it at number 10.

Twenty meth labs were found and cleaned up in the county during the first seven months of the year.

It is the first time a county in the ISP Lowell District made the top 10.

The seven county district had 60 labs total in 2011. The number is currently at 46.
