Still no arrests in Mark Miller murder investigation
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- It has been eight months since Mark Miller's body was found stuffed in a barrel along the St. Joseph River near the Six Span Bridge in Elkhart County.
The Elkhart County business owner disappeared from his tattoo shop last September and his body was discovered just two weeks after his disappearance. Now, his family is once again speaking out.
Miller's family is desperate for answers so they can get closure and justice for the father of five.
He was a father, a brother, a son, and a husband, but above all his family says he was a good man taken too soon.
"We are not giving up, none of us are giving up," says Miller's mother Sheila Miller.
Sheila Miller says their family will not rest until the person responsible for her son’s murder is brought to justice.
"I want them to go to jail for the rest of their live," says Shelia. "I want them in confinement."
Just two weeks after Mark Miller disappeared, his body was found inside a 50 gallon barrel in the river underneath the Six Span Bridge in Elkhart County.
As time passes, his family wants everyone to know they are not forgetting and they want to know what happened.
"I just couldn’t believe that all the people he knew, all the friends he had, that somebody could be so heartless to do something so vile and cruel to him like that," said Shelia.
It has been eight months and Miller’s family still does not know how he died.
"Surely by now they have enough evidence to start the prosecution and at least start arresting people," says Miller.
Police have completed their investigation and it is currently being reviewed by the prosecutor’s office. However, officials will not say when or if any arrests will be made.
