If you are interested in protecting our natural resources, participate in the“No Dumping, Drains to Stream” storm drain marking project. Volunteers are needed to install metal markers near storm drain inlets. On Saturday, May 31, from 9am to 12pm, the City of Elkhart is holding a volunteer work day to install these unique markers. By participating, you can help raise awareness trash, debris or hazardous waste that enters a storm drain can contribute to surface and ground water pollution. This is a great project for individuals or groups. We will meet at 9m at the Band Shell on Island Park. If you are interested in volunteering please call Megan Kolaczyk at 574-293-2572 for more information and to RSVP.
