Strong rips currents claim lives of 2 people in Berrien County

TISCORNIA PARK, Mich. -- Strong rip currents made for a deadly weekend on Lake Michigan.
We now know the names of the two people drowned on Sunday in Berrien County.
Police told us a 41-year-old Anthony Kelly from Montgomery, Ill. drowned off of Tiscornia Beach.
Dr. Donald Liu of Chicago drowned in Chickaming Township. Police said Liu was actually trying to save someone else when he drowned.
The waves were 6 to 8-feet high in places.
Police said crews also rescued several people at area beaches.
