'Studebaker Racing and Record-Breakers,' new exhibit at Studebaker Museum
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Studebaker National Museum announced their new exhibition, "Studebaker Racing and Record-Breakers," which explores Studebaker's cross-country endurance runs to the legendary Indianapolis 500, and the long history of proving its products on the track and the open road.
Museum officials say there will be a selection of artifacts, including a collection of early 20th century racing trophies, and record-breaking Studebaker cars from the late 1910s through the early 1960s.
Featured vehicles include the #6 1928 Commander Roadster, the 1948 Studebaker-powered Bonnie Doon Special, the #9 1963 Avanti Bonneville record-breaker, and the debut of the Museum’s most recent acquisition, the 1933 #34 Studebaker Special Indy 500 race car.
The exhibition is open from Sept. 10 through April 6, 2025.
The Studebaker National Museum is open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon –5 p.m.
Admission is $11 for adults, $9.50 for seniors over 60, and $7 for youth ages 6-18.
