Study: High-fructose corn syrup is bad for your brain

Bad news for all those with a sweet tooth.

A new study finds eating too much sugar is bad for your brain. Researchers at UCLA say rats given high-fructose corn syrup had a hard time finding their way through a maze.

The sweetener is found in soda, baby food and processed snack foods.

Health officials say the average American consumes more than 40 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup a year.
