ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.-- It's time to hit the links!
Warmer spring weather is bringing golfers out to start the 2023 season for fun and competition.
The game is heating up as the Lifestyle Junior Golf tour kicks off a new year with over 500 local golfers ranging from 10-years-old up to young, college aged adults!
The tournament, based in Michiana, was started by PGA professional of 38-years, John Fischer.
Through his hours of training, teaching and leading the local golf scene, John hopes to help raise the next generation of golfers by enticing them with a Masters-esque, professional golf tournament throughout the summer.
PLUS-- exclusive to ABC57 news, there's a new opportunity available for South Bend Community Schools students!
The first ever Middle School golf team starts up for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
You can head out to Burke Golf Course Monday, May 8th to learn how to get your kids involved.
There is a big push to get kids involved in golf at younger ages and boost the overall girls/women's presence in the sport.
You can sign your golfer up for future tournaments, check the local rankings and results, and more at Lifestyle Junior Golf Tour.
