Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
Most of Michiana is waking up to temperatures below 0 degrees this morning, though conditions are expected to be significantly warmer than yesterday during the day. Clear overnight skies allowed a lot of heat to escape the surface, but that will also warm us up into the mid 20s today, with more clouds gathering in the afternoon in front of some fairly light snow showers. Snow with us in the overnight hours, bringing a widespread dusting, roads may be slick Monday morning. Highs stick in the 20s through most of the work week, with fairly calm conditions. The end of the week brings the best chance for an above freezing high, with another round of snow likely Thursday into Friday. Next weekend brings another drop in temperatures.
Today: Extremely cold morning, mostly sunny. High 26.
Tonight: Widespread light snow. Low 12.
Monday: Some lingering snow in the morning, cloudy afternoon. High 28.
Tuesday: Cloudy. High 28.
