A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Michiana through 1 am on Monday. A Cold Weather Advisory is in affect for Starke, Fulton, Marshall, Kosciusko, and Southern LaPorte County until 1pm on Monday. The winter storm continues, with Michiana experiencing consistent light system snow through the day. This system will bring 3-6 inches across most of Michiana, but lake effect snow will bring another wave through the overnight tonight for our friends closer to the coast. Thankfully, Michiana is not seeing as much snow as some of our neighbors to the south, but driving is still expected to be hazardous through the day today. Lake effect drifts from western Michiana to central Michiana through the overnight, with some visibility issues expected for the Monday morning commute. Temperatures drop again Tuesday morning, potentially below zero in some areas in Michiana. Mor snow chances in the middle of the week, as a general gradual warming pattern stretches through the upcoming weekend.
Today: Continuous light snow, bitterly cold. High 14.
Tonight: Lake effect snow for some areas in Michiana, bitterly cold. Low 5.
Monday: Lake effect snow dwindles in the afternoon, some evening sun. Bitterly cold. High 12.
Tuesday: Frigid morning, some snow, mostly cloudy. High 18.
