SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Common Council approves a $3.8 million loan to support two major downtown housing developments.
ABC57 has reported that developer "Real America" is planning to build two complexes across the street from Four Winds Field.
The Diamond View Apartments will have 60 affordable housing units, as well as units set aside for Logan Center clients living with disabilities.
Next door will be the "stadium flats" with another 45 low-income units, plus 45 market rate apartments.
The city's loan is forgivable.
The projects are expected to be finished by the end of 2025.
