Third suspect sentenced in shooting that left woman paralyzed

Jeremiah Ware, 18, was sentenced to 30 years for attempted murder

Symone Berry, 25, pleaded guilty by agreement to assisting a criminal and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Tyreik Williams, 17, pleaded guilty by agreement to aggravated battery and was sentenced to 15 year sin prison.


The third and final suspect in a shooting that happened on Cushing Street in January 2019 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The victim in the shooting, a 24-year-old woman, was left paralyzed.

Jeremiah Ware, 18, was convicted in January of attempted murder and aggravated battery at trial.

On Tuesday, he was sentenced to 30 years for the attempted murder charge. The court withheld judgment on the aggravated battery charge.

Ware was the third and final person charged and sentenced in this case.
