STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Knox-Center Township Fire Department reports crews responded to the intersection of US 35 and C.R. 200 South around 8:40 a.m., Monday for a multi-vehicle crash.

Fire officials arrived on scene from another incident and found there were three vehicles involved.

Starke County EMS and the fire crew began stabilizing the most critical patient on scene before the fire rescue crew arrived to help extricate another individual.

Once the individual was extricated, fire officials say medics began life-saving measures before taking the patient to the hospital for serious injuries.
