SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Michiana is cool once again with highs back in the 60s. These temperatures are very similar to what we saw last Memorial Day weekend.
However, this holiday weekend is going to be on the more average side, particularly Saturday, exactly on average with a high of 72 degrees.
We do warm up to the holiday itself, close to 80 degrees for some parts of Michiana, so any parades that you have on Memorial Day, you're probably going to want to leave the jacket at home and bring the sunscreen.
We are expecting some cloudier skies for most of the days this holiday weekend, but you can still get sunburn when it’s cloudy.
These cloudy skies could open up to some chances of rain during the weekend. Friday does not look like the most fun day if you had any plans to kick off the holiday weekend.
Besides those chances, the weekend looks to be on the drier side, at least during the day. Some clouds are expected on Saturday and Sunday in Michiana, with a chance of a sprinkle on both days.
I am particularly watching out for Sunday night. We could see some rain then, especially the southern portions of Michiana, or if you were headed down to Indianapolis for the Indy 500. They do have some high chances of showers this weekend.
