MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The traffic signals at the intersection of Grape and Douglas roads will be shut off Thursday morning.

The City of Mishawaka says modifications will be made to the lights from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Mishawaka Police will be directing traffic through the intersection during this time.

There is also an eastbound lane restricted due to construction which has caused headaches for drivers.

Workers at Afdent Dental, a dentist’s office near the intersection, say they are worried traffic light shut down could cause more problems.

“I've seen three accidents occur since the construction started mostly just rear ending, fender benders, minor accidents but still now somebody has to file their insurance. Mostly somebody not paying attention and just rear ending someone else,” said Chuck Bergman, Afdent marketing director.
