SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Department officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle on Elwood St. and Olive St. 

The suspect did not stop and led an officer on pursuit. The suspect vehicle hit a pedestrian on a bicycle. The officer stayed with the pedestrian until medics arrived on the scene ending the pursuit. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for leg pain that was non-life-threatening. 

The vehicle was located at Woodward Ave. and Vassar Ave. and unoccupied. The search for the suspect is ongoing.
