TRANSPO gears up for Dump the Pump Day

South Bend TRANSPO is ready for National Dump the Pump Day. The day is not until Thursday but they will have a sale that begins on Monday and will go through Friday.
TRANSPO will offer a Dump the Pump Pass sale. Anyone who buys an Adult 31-day Pass or K-12 Summer Travel Pass will get two free Day Passes that are worth a six dollar value.
The nationally recognized day started as a way to get people to use public transportation more to save gas and money.
When people use public transportation, it helps boost the community according to the American Public Transportation Association.
The APTA says, for every dollar invested in public transportation, four dollars is brought back to the economy.
