Trojans beat Irish, 31-17

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame falls to USC in the first night game in 21 years at Notre Dame Stadium.

The Trojans beat the Irish 31-17. The Irish’s record is now 4-3 with a tied home record of 2-2.

The Irish had three big turnovers in the fourth quarter that clinched the Trojan’s victory.
USC left the Irish scoreless for the great part of the first half.
Freshman George Atkinson III was the first to put Notre Dame points on the scoreboard at the end of the second quarter with a 96-yard kickoff return. This is Atkinson’s second kickoff return for a touchdown of the season.
Notre Dame’s other touchdown came from Jonas Gray in the top of the fourth quarter.
The Irish will turn their focus to Navy next week at home.
