Two arrested following multi-agency sex trafficking investigation
St. Joseph County Jail: Chad Alan Demis, Oseas Luna ROSELAND, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police announced two men have been arrested following a multi-agency investigation into sex trafficking.
ISP says the agencies involved include the Roseland Police Department, Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Police Department, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, and Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Police Department.
The report states 45-year-old Chad Alan Demis, of Grovertown, Ind., and 43-year-old Oseas Luna, of Elkhart, were arrested for Soliciting a Prostitute in separate incidents and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
Police say this operation focused on the buyer side of commercial sex.
Authorities say these efforts are important in addressing human trafficking since the demand for paid sexual services often leads to exploitation, coercion, addiction, violence, and trafficking.
