Two arrested on meth-related charges near Marcellus, more warrants to be served
MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two people were arrested for their alleged intent to distribute methamphetamine after Cass County Deputies served a search warrant Thursday.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, detectives searched a home in the 14000 block of Dutch Settlement Road on the suspicion that meth was being sold.
Deputies found a “sizable” amount of meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, loaded firearms, and a stolen vehicle on the property.
A 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.
The man was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute meth, felon in possession of a firearm, felony firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana, and maintaining a drug house.
The woman was arrested for possession with intent to distribute meth, felony firearm, possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house. She was also arrested on a drug warrant out of LaGrange County.
Their names will not be released until they are arraigned in court.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and warrants will be issued for individuals who were not in the home at the time of the search.
