Two drivers injured in crash at M-62 and Hospital Street

CASS COUNTY, Mich.—Two drivers were involved in a crash in Cass County on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Around 5 p.m. on January 27, deputies were called to the scene of a crash involving injuries at the intersection of M-62 and Hospital Street in Jefferson Township.

An initial investigation showed that two drivers, Kevin McCarthy, 21, of Elkhart and Steven Wilds, 54, of Cassopolis, were involved in a crash.

Wilds was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment and McCarthy was taken by a family member to get treatment for his minor injuries.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
