SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Officials confirm that two people are dead after a shooting in South Bend at 2:45 AM on Sunday, near Franklin and Ewing Street.
When police arrived to the scene, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Bend Police Department identified the victims as ShaeLeigh Zeiger, 22, and Brandon Smith, 31, both from South Bend.
The Violent Crimes Unit is helping investigate the incident.
No suspects are in custody at this time. Several people have been interviewed, police said.
Officials say this is not a threat to the public or surrounding neighbors.
This appears to be an isolated incident, according to police.
Autopsies will be conducted in Kalamazoo.
