Two people arrested following pursuit of stolen vehicle
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. -- Two people in a stolen truck were arrested by deputies following a short vehicle pursuit, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.
Monday around 11 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Harrison Road and Crampton Road to locate a truck that was reported stolen from the Middlebury area, reports said.
The stolen truck was located by Cass County detectives in the area of Bair Lake near the St. Joseph County line, reports said.
The truck was followed to the area of Hoffman Road near Day Road where St. Joseph County deputies began pursuing the vehicle.
During the pursuit, stop sticks were successfully deployed in the area of Pulver and Bullock roads.
In the area of US 131 and Moorepark Road, the vehicle stopped and the two occupants surrendered, reports said.
The driver was identified as a 28-year-old man from Three Rivers with several outstanding warrants.
The passenger was identified as a 21-year-old male from Three Rivers who was in possession of narcotics, deputies said.
They were both transported to the St. Joseph County Jail on multiple charges.
Their names are being withheld pending arraignment.
