Two people sent to hospital after crash on Dailey Road

CASS COUNTY, Mich.—Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash on Dailey Road on Monday afternoon, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 2 p.m. on October 7, deputies responded to a crash on Dailey Road south of Pokagon Highway in La Grange Township.

Cheryl Lee Black, 57, of Dowagiac and her passenger, James Clay Pease, 87, of Dowagiac swerved off of the road into a ravine and struck several large rocks when an 18-year-old male driver from Union Pier failed to yield at a stop sign, police said.

Black and Pease were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Seat belts were used at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor, police said.
