There are two big weather impacts Wednesday: the heat and the evening storm threat.
Temperatures out the door this morning are already warm in the lower 70s.
By afternoon, we'll climb into the mid 90s. It is very muggy today, with feels like temperatures soaring as high as the 100-105 degree range.
Because of this, a heat advisory is in place for all of Michiana from noon until 8 p.m.
Temperatures will fall back to normal levels to end the week.
You won't need an umbrella out the door this morning or during your lunch break.
It will be breezy through the day, with wind picking up to about 15 mph this afternoon, and gusts near 30 mph.
Storms roll into the area just ahead of and during the evening commute.
There is a level 2/5 threat for severe weather today with this line of storms.
Mostly likely impacts could include damaging wind gusts, and periods of heavy rain (which could create low visibility for your drive home).
While the main storm threat exits late tonight, a few showers or storms linger into the day Thursday. We'll dry out for a nice day Friday.
Today: Hot and humid. Evening storms. High 94. Heat Index: +100.
Tonight: Scattered storms. Low 72.
Thursday: Scattered storms. High 82.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 84.
