INDIANAPOLIS - The United Way of Central Indiana has seen a drop in donations, meaning thousands of families will not get some extra help this holiday season.
The organization said it will only be able to serve about half the families it was expecting to serve. It was supposed to help about five-thousand families this season.
The families who are approved will get a $30 voucher. It may not seem like a lot, but one mom said that would be the difference between her kids waking up to a small present or nothing under the Christmas tree.
