Official CDC mandate for South Shore Line mask requirements

A CDC federal order became effective on February 1st stating the South Shore Line will continue to require masks or face coverings for all passengers and employees.

Passengers and employees must abide to the federal order both onboard and while in the stations.

This federal order by the CDC falls in line with the mirroring State of Indiana Executive Order that became effective back on November 15th with respect to requiring masks.

Per CDC recommendations, face masks should consist of two or more layers completely covering the face and nose.

Passengers who do not comply with the mask mandate will be subject to removal from trains.
