UPDATE: Train death determined to be suicide

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Emergency crews were on the scene where a person was hit by a train at the railroad tracks over Carlton Street in Mishawaka on Wednesday afternoon.

The coroner was at the scene to determine the cause of death.

ABC 57's Jaclyn Kelley spoke to police who told her it was a suicide. Train personnel said the woman ran out onto the tracks and laid down in front of the train.

This was the second pedestrian versus train collision in the Michiana area on Wednesday.
