Local power companies have restored power to thousands of customers, but thousands of customers still remain without power.

Indiana Michigan Power

Indiana Michigan Power has restored power to Buchanan, Benton Harbor and South Bend. The vast majority of the current outages are in Elkhart and Three Rivers.

Outage estimates as of 1 p.m. Friday:

Elkhart area 2,414
Three Rivers area 2,537

Below are the estimated times of restorations. More severe weather is possible Thursday, which may hinder restoration efforts or cause additional outages.

90% of Elkhart customers are estimated to be restored by 6 p.m. Friday
90% of Three Rivers customers are estimated to be restored by 10 p.m. Friday

NIPSCO

NIPSCO has approximately 2,400 customers without power throughout its service area as of Friday morning. Click here to view the outage map.

Midwest Energy & Communications

Midwest Energy & Communications has approximately 500 customers without power. They have located 35 broken poles along with downed power lines and tree damage.

Crews expect to have all power restored by Saturday night.
