USA women’s indoor volleyball makes history at 2020 Tokyo Games

The United States women’s indoor volleyball team, which includes Michiana native Annie Drews, made history on the court on Sunday, taking home their first-ever gold medal, according to ESPN.

The team faced off against Brazil. Team USA took the first four points in the game, and the rest was history.

Ariake Arena won in straight sets, 25-21, 25-20, 25-14 in 82 minutes, ESPN said. Drews and Michelle Bartsch-Hackley combines for 29 points, according to their report.
