CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Van Buren-Cass District Health Department is set to distribute its largest number of vaccinations yet with 1,500 appointments available in Cass County this week.
Clinics are set for March 10 and March 12 at the Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, as well as on March 10th at the Edwardsburg Fire Department. All three will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Instead of residents joining a waitlist, they can pick preferred appointment slots starting Monday until the Health Department runs out.
“The state of Michigan just this past week gave additional doses to every county that was falling behind, so we’re grateful that they’re finally acknowledging that our allotments were so significantly disparate due to the counties around us,” said Danielle Persky, Van Buren-Cass District Health Department Deputy Health Officer.
