SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Venue Parks & Arts will be hosting their first Sneaker Art Competition for middle and high school students who are enrolled in the South Bend Community Corporation on Friday June 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the Howard Park Event Center. 

Participating students will have one hour to design a high top sneaker with supplies provided by VPA and students are welcome to bring their own supplies from home. 

The top 5 winners from each age group will earn a trip to the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis on August 16 to represent South Bend in a statewide art competition against students from Evansville and Indianapolis. 

Any middle or high school student in South Bends Schools are eligible to apply, there is a limit of 40 entries per division. Application can be found here or through your school's art teacher and must be submitted by may 30 with required signatures.
