Vice President Joe Biden visits son in La Porte County

Air Force Two was parked at South Bend International Airport while Vice President Joe Biden went to Long Beach in La Porte County on Thursday.

The La Porte County Sheriff's Office says the Vice President spent the day at his son's home in Long Beach.

Several agencies in La Porte, including the La Porte County Sheriff's Office, Michigan City Police, Long Beach Police and Trail Creek Police assisted in traffic control and security for Biden's visit.

Several roads were closed for a brief time while the motorcade traveled through La Porte County during his arrival and departure.
