Victim identified in deadly car crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Police have identified the victim of a deadly car accident early Sunday morning.

The victim, 20-year-old William Rackley of South Bend, was killed in the accident on Portage Road just before 4:30 a.m. Police say a pickup truck in the southbound lane rear-ended an SUV. Rackley, who was driving the truck, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rackley's passenger and two people in the SUV were treated and released. Speed is believed to be factor; police do not believe drugs and alcohol were involved in the crash.
