Vote on Elkhart Co. income taxes

A major vote is expected to take place Wednesday. The county council will decide if it will raise income taxes for those living in the county or not.

A “Yes” vote would raise revenue for the county at the expensive of workers who would get slightly smaller paychecks.

The Mayor of Elkhart, Dick Moore, said the county is running out of options because of caps on property tax levels.

Wednesday's vote only needs a majority to pass.
