ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office has charged 28-year-old Kyle Seals in connection to a recent fatal crash.

The crash happened this past December 11, 2025. Officers were dispatched around 11:55 a.m. to a crash on US 6 near Poplar Road in Walkerton. They found 44-year-old William Dankert of Laporte dead in his vehicle. Initial witness reports indicated that an SUV, drove by Seals, swerved past the road line, hitting Dankert head-on. 

Seals faces charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless homicide. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
