SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Wilson Elementary in South Bend held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new playground Wednesday morning.
The new playground includes a slide, monkey bars, and other features.
The school held a prep rally for the kids ahead of the ribbon cutting.
School officials say they're thrilled to offer students a safe and enjoyable outdoor space, especially beneficial for those who may lack access to parks or face safety concerns.
Wilson Elementary Principal Samantha Smith stated, "We are so excited to have our ribbon cutting. This morning, we were able to introduce the new playground to our students. It's been a long time coming. So, we are excited about the new equipment that has been placed on our playground."
