The snow sticks around
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – St. Patrick’s County Park put on “Winter Fling for the Little Ones” this morning for kids and parents to enjoy the outdoors together after being cooped up for months.
The “Winter Fling” gave children under five the opportunity to participate in some of the outdoor activities the park offers, like sledding and tubing.
The park manager and parents in attendance said they’re glad to finally get outside.
“I’m delighted that so many people have shown up, it just reminds me of how good it is for us to be outside, get exercise and enjoy nature,” said Amal Farrough, Interpretive Services Manager for SJC Parks and Recreation.
Kids even got to do arts and crafts, like making snow pies and birdfeeders, and participate in story time, with everything set up in stations so families could safely have fun.
