SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Downtown South Bend’s Winter Restaurant Weeks are in full swing!
From January 27 through February 9, local restaurants are serving up specially priced menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
About 10% of proceeds will be donated to Beacon Children’s Hospital during the event.
Mark McDonnell, president of the Downtown Dining Association and owner of Lasalle Grill was live in studio on Tuesday to discuss the Winter Restaurant Weeks.
“Downtown is the biggest collection of independent restaurants in the Michiana area,” McDonnell said.
McDonnell said the event brings in some added business to downtown restaurants during what's often times a slower part of the year.
“Each one we do makes an extra week of business in the year. The way we look at it is, we get 54 weeks of business instead of 52 because of the weeks,” McDonnell said.
