Elizabeth Trowbridge

ORIGINAL STORY: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- After being caught on Ring Doorbell claiming that she was a police officer on Jan. 12, 32-year-old Elizabeth Trowbridge was charged this week with two counts of Impersonation of a Public Servant, and one count of Criminal Mischief.

Trowbridge was arrested on Jan. 13, and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail, booked, and released on her own recognizance for the charge of Criminal Mischief, which is a misdemeanor.

Her court date was scheduled for Jan. 27.

Impersonation of a Public Servant is a felony, and each count has a sentencing range from six months to two and a half years.

"Because the second individual captured on the video did not engage in either the vandalism or portrayed himself as a law enforcement officer, no criminal charges have been filed," the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
